Naval Ravikant is an AngelList co-founder, investor, and aphorist whose framings recur across Kyle’s corpus as canonical sources on contrarianism, conviction, and habit. The most load-bearing is his definition of the optimistic contrarian, drawn from The Navalmanack: “A contrarian isn’t one who always objects—that’s a conformist of a different sort.
