Dilbert

Scott Adams’ comic strip, named by Naval Ravikant in The Almanack of Naval Ravikant alongside Calvin and Hobbes as a work so authentically its creator’s own that it can’t be out-competed: “Is somebody else going to come along and write a better Dilbert? No. Is someone going to compete with Bill Watterson and create a better Calvin and Hobbes? No.” Purely a passing example within Naval’s “escape competition through authenticity” argument — you can’t out-compete work that is a genuine extension of who its maker is.
