Woken Furies

The third and last Kovacs novel returns him to the world he grew up on, into a revolutionary politics he half believes in, and sets him against a restored copy of his own younger self. It is the volume that takes the series’ premise personally: if a mind can be stored and re-instantiated, then a person can be confronted by a version of himself who has not yet learned anything, and neither of them has a better claim to the name.
