The San Francisco 49ers head coach who took the team from the worst record in the NFL to three Super Bowls lays out the method he called the Standard of Performance: define the behaviour you expect at every level of the organisation, teach it obsessively, and refuse to let the scoreboard be the thing you manage. Published posthumously with Steve Jamison and Walsh’s son Craig, it is a book about installing a culture rather than a book about football.
