Endymion (Simmons novel)

Volume three, opening the second half of the Cantos centuries after the first two books. New leads — Raul Endymion, hired to protect a child named Aenea, and a Church that has grown into the dominant power of the human worlds — inherit the consequences of the earlier war.

Context: third of the four volumes under a16z’s Hyperion Cantos entry. It starts a new story arc rather than continuing the old one, but it spoils both earlier books, so it is not an entry point.
