Curation is the idea behind a 2022 post by Sahil Bloom proposing a paid “Explain It To Me Like I’m 5” newsletter: a weekly summary of the best content in a vertical for $20 a month, with 50% of proceeds pooled and paid back to the original creators, and about 4,200 subscribers needed to reach $1m gross. The pitch rests on the problem “so much great content, so little time.”
