Effective 19 August 2019.

The table that determines, for every NAICS industry code, the revenue or employee threshold below which a firm is legally a small business — and therefore eligible for set-aside contracts, SBA lending and a range of regulatory relief.

The thresholds are startling in places, which is the reason to look: ‘small’ can mean 1,500 employees or $40 million in receipts depending on the industry. A single spreadsheet with very large economic consequences, and a good corrective to casual use of the phrase.
