Gratitude Journal

A journaling practice focused on writing what you are grateful for, described as “vital for happiness and simplicity.” The insight is attentional: people tend to focus on what they lack rather than what they have, and a gratitude journal counteracts that default. Distinct from a Decision Journal (which captures reasoning under uncertainty) or a Day Journal (which minimizes false memories) — the gratitude variant targets emotional baseline rather than epistemic rigor.
