Gaming

A lightweight topic-capture page seeded from a single saved link in Kyle’s June 18, 2026 bookmark-import batch. The one source so far is a Kotaku piece on Michael Burry (of The Big Short fame) building a large position in GameStop — i.e. the gaming-retail / meme-stock angle rather than gaming as a medium. Not yet synthesized; awaiting more material before it becomes a real note.

Links Kyle saved to this topic on June 18, 2026 (manual capture batch).

Deep-dive / entity-idea candidates Kyle logged on his Roam “Trends” page (and its linked “Gaming” page, marked done on ingest). Ingested 2026-07-31.

  • Mathematics of gaming — like Deal or No Deal or the Misery Index game, a lot of games have very specific mathematical components. Probably a whole discipline — but maybe there’s software that analyzes the odds of any game and could be used as a training tool.
  • The data-driven NFL of gaming — recruiting, player analytics, performance display, etc. Would need to be independent of any one game (e.g. even when no one is playing Fortnite, the software’s technical capability should transfer easily to new games). See also Ancillary Gaming.
  • Mobile Premier League — democratization of sporting; anyone could have direct access to going pro.
  • Game.tv, a San Francisco esports tournament platform, raised $25M led by Intel Capital.
  • Microsoft / Satya Nadella on Xbox game streaming (xCloud) — Fortune.
  • Market map — 2 gaming market-map screenshots saved to wiki/attachments/gaming/ (gaming-01-gPhqb5mKMm.png, gaming-02-n_oXkxnI5I.png). Not embedded inline (concept pages sync to the notes collection; inline ../attachments image embeds break the Astro build).
