Game Developer Magazine, December 2000
TL;DR — An issue of the trade magazine that documented game development as a craft, from inside it.
December 2000, from 600 Harrison Street, San Francisco — “on the front line of game innovation.”
Game Developer ran postmortems in which studios described, in technical detail, what went wrong on a shipped game. That format is close to extinct: almost no industry publishes candid failure analysis under its own name.
The complete run was later released free, which is why single issues circulate.
