Fuck Off, Google

The Invisible Committee 2014 View original ↗

TL;DR — A chapter from the Invisible Committee’s To Our Friends attacking “smart” technology and cybernetics as a new science of government.

An eight-page chapter in four parts: there are no “Facebook revolutions” but there is a new science of government, cybernetics; war against all things smart; the poverty of cybernetics; techniques against technology. It traces Twitter to TXTMob, a protest-coordination tool from 2004, and notes that the 2011 English rioters coordinated over BlackBerry rather than Twitter.

What it is: a political tract from an anonymous French insurrectionary collective, kept as a document of that movement. Copy from the Wayback Machine; a commenter posted a mirror on the Fuck Off Google wiki.
