Kyle’s note reads “Empyrean: Ideal place” and tags it alongside Valued Empyrean and Utopia. The term also surfaces under Institution Building in the book’s connections (the Church, City of Zion, School of the Prophets, priesthood, and temple framed as institutions), paired with Valued Empyrean. It is best understood as a concept — an ideal/utopian place — in Kyle’s reading of Joseph Smith’s city-building, not an organization.

Context: “Empyrean” classically denotes the highest heaven — the abode of light, fire, or God in ancient cosmology and in Dante’s Paradiso; figuratively, an ideal or sublime realm.
