Chris Miller

Author of Chip War, the history of the semiconductor industry that frames the US-China rivalry as a contest decided by computing power rather than steel or atomic weapons. In Kyle’s notes the book functions less as a standalone semiconductor history than as evidence collection for a defense-tech (Anduril) investment thesis — Miller’s accounts of Morris Chang leaving Texas Instruments to found TSMC, of monopolies (Bell Labs, TSMC) as innovation engines, and of China’s civil-military fusion doctrine are mined as supporting facts.
