Why it’s on the list: Thirteen chapters of systematic theology written for a general reader — each doctrine stated in plain language, then defended, then applied. A one-volume statement of what a particular strand of American evangelicalism actually holds, in its own words rather than a critic’s summary.

About this edition
Driscoll was the founding pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle; Breshears is a professor of theology. The recommendation list gives the subtitle as “It’s All About Jesus!”, but the published subtitle is What Christians Should Believe (Crossway, 2010), and this is the book intended.
